Irondequoit High School sophomore pitcher Jack Niggli showcased a stellar performance on April 17, pitching a no-hitter against Eastridge in a 7-0 victory during a Monroe County league division crossover game. Niggli, a left-hander in his second year on the Irondequoit varsity team, struck out 12 batters in the seven-inning match, with one walk issued to Evan Bishop. His outstanding display was labeled as "dominant" by observers.
Niggli's no-hitter marked the third such achievement in Section V baseball for the 2025 season, joining the ranks of Honeoye Falls-Lima junior Jake Weber and Midlakes junior Braxton Wilkes. Weber delivered a no-hitter against Greece Olympia/Odyssey, securing a 1-0 victory with 13 strikeouts and driving in the winning run on April 7. Meanwhile, Wilkes struck out 12 batters in a Finger Lakes league game against Mynderse on April 9. Notably, LeRoy's Alex Spezzano nearly achieved a no-hitter the same day before Letchworth's Brody Whalen broke the streak with a single.
