Grandview Speedway has faced weather-related setbacks, causing the cancellation of the scheduled season opener for the second consecutive Saturday. The Speedway will make a third attempt to kick off the season this Saturday night, featuring the 8th annual VP Racing Fuels Bruce Rogers Memorial Money Maker for Big/Small Block Modifieds, offering a $7,500 prize for the 50-lap championship feature.
The event will also include a full show for the T.P. Truck Equipment 602 Sportsman, with qualifying events and a 25-lap feature race. Despite this delay, such occurrences are not uncommon in Grandview Speedway's 62-year history. The upcoming program will be sanctioned by NASCAR and will mark the first point race of the season for the T.P. Trailer Modified and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman divisions towards the track and NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Championships. The event welcomes all drivers, and the speedway will cover the cost of the $25 temporary NASCAR driver license for non-regular track competitors.
Following this, Grandview Speedway will host a two-day weekend of racing, starting with the Outlaw Racing Series on Friday, April 25, followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, April 26, featuring the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman, along with a Trivia Night. Admission prices vary for adults, students, and pit access for both events.
