Medina High School athletic director Damon Bosche received recognition as the North Dakota Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association’s Division B District 2 Athletic Administrator of the Year. He is among eight individuals awarded in his division this year. Bosche was also honored as the District 2 Athletic Director of the Year during the basketball seasons. The Thunder athletic teams, which collaborate with Jamestown High School for various sports, have achieved a combined record of 69-54 as of April 17.
Under Bosche's leadership, the Medina/Pingree-Buchanan girls volleyball team secured their first-ever state tournament appearance, securing a third-place finish. Additionally, the Thunder boys basketball team clinched the District 2 title and ended the season in fourth place at the Region 1 tournament.
